Sad Lonely Blog

My poor blog. I think it has missed me. It gets visited often to blog stalk others, but the poor thing has been screaming for an update, so here goes,...

Grant got another promotion. YAY!!! He now works at the corporate office in Idaho Falls, and he L-O-V-E-S his job! So much so that we're considering not doing law school anymore. He's still going to take the LSAT, and he's still keeping up that GPA, but we love it here, so why would we leave such a love fest? I never thought Idaho would be our forever home, but I really can't see us leaving anytime soon.

 Such a ham!
Sienna spent 3 1/2 weeks in Texas!!! It was horrible for me, but lovely for her. She shopped, spent time with cousins, and partied hard. My parents had the time of her life with her there, I know this because my days were so dull without her! There are some parents that need breaks from kiddos, but I can truly say that I cherish each and every sweet drop of time with mine. They are so utterly perfect. A part of my heart was gone the whole time she was gone. I'm so glad she's back! Now I have an excuse to go get snow cones more often.;) I feel like she grew a foot while she was gone. She seems so much older and funnier. She got home and informed me that Disney Junior isn't cool anymore. I have my awesome 10 year old nephew to thank for that. It's taken a week, but she's back to watching her innocent cartoons in the mornings. She has been full of funny tid bits and stories, one of which happened before she left, but unraveled while she was gone.

I have blogged about Grant's interesting way of feeding Mags on Saturday mornings. Throwing fruit loops on the floor and letting her vacuum them up with her mouth. Well it was last month on a Sunday morning that we were all getting dressed and Mags was fussy. I asked Grant what she had eaten, since he feeds the kids, and I dress them on Sundays. He replied,"Bread and water." He was serious. BREAD AND WATER!!! What the is he thinking??? I responded, "YOU HAVE TO FEED THE CHILDREN!!! THEY ARE NOT IN PRISON!!!! WITH A SPOON OR FORK SITTING AT THE TABLE LIKE HUMANS!!!!" Seriously, is that to much to ask? I might have raised my voice a little because Sienna said, "Mommy don't be mean to daddy!" That day at church she told her teacher that we fight a lot. Awesome. The teacher went to the Bishop. Double awesome. Luckily the bishop knows us well, and thought nothing of it. I think this is pay back from when I was little and told everyone that my parents were getting divorced because I thought it was cool that one of my friends got two of everything. Oh well, it's funny. She's our little peace maker. Honestly I now don't raise my voice in fear that I'll get called into the bishop's office. It's funny because she told me two days ago that she's glad that I don't ever yell at her. Why couldn't she tell her Primary teachers that?!

 Howdy
 Her buddy Scout.
The way to her heart is still through her stomach.
Mags is developing oh so sweetly. She's so smart. We can ask her to go get something or throw something away and she understands and does it! She nods if she wants something and shakes her head when she's not pleased with us. I swear I heard her first sentence the other day. It was probably a fluke, but I gave her a bowl of green beans with a fork and she was patiently trying to poke them onto the fork and I heard her say, "I got it." I turned around to see a green bean on her fork, and I looked at her and asked if she just said I got it. She replied, "Yep." It was probably a coincidence, but it is looking like she's going to be like big sister. Sienna surprised me at 10 months when I sneezed in the car and she said bless you. Mags is a lot more quiet and reserved than Sienna is, but she is a feisty one. Now that Sienna is back, she thinks that she's the boss. If Sienna is requiring to much of my attention, she quietly walks over and slaps her. No bueno. Silent assassin strikes again. We are working on it, and she knows that she is doing something wrong, but with that baby face, she also knows she can get away with it. She has recently discovered that shoes mean go, so she brings me shoes all day long until we go some where. It's so cute. If she catches me putting on make up she immediately goes and sits by the door and awaits her next big adventure. She gets seriously disappointed when I'm just putting it on because Daddy's coming home. It's short lived though, because the second Grant walks in she's all smiles. The girl loves her daddy.

I've been good. As most of you know we had another miscarriage last month. That's two within five months. It sucks. I know it sounds shallow, but because they were both a little later on, I gained a fair amount of weight with both and I'm so self conscience about it. I have all this baby weight and no baby to show for it. When I have healthy babies it's super easy for me to lose the baby weight, but with miscarriage it takes my body a couple of months to realize that I'm not pregnant anymore. I still have a lot of symptoms, and I can take a pregnancy test and it's positive.  I just can't wait until I'm back to my normal size. I can't fit into all my normal clothes, so it doesn't help that I feel out of style too. I know, it's shallow. I just want to find out what's causing these miscarriages, and have the rest of our children!

As hard as all this has been, I'm constantly reminded of how blessed I am. My children are, as I said before perfect. My husband will sit there while I gripe at him about feeding the kids, and not say a cross word back. I love him so much. I have the true gospel in my life. Grant has a wonderful job that he loves and provides for us. I get to work as a stay at home mom in a bad economy. I have wonderful friends that will surprise visit me just when I need it most. We have wonderful parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and so on. I feel so blessed to be living my life.  You know you have it pretty good when horrible things happen, and you're still happy beyond measure. Yes I'm sad at times, and I have those days where I stay in pajamas and watch movies and TV all day long, but for the most part I know this is a wonderful life.

They love each other.

When I'm Rich,...

I'm never going to do laundry. I'll either pay someone to do it for me, or I'll donate clothes after I've worn them and buy new ones. Britney Spears never wears the same pair of panties twice so why should I right?! Seriously, I hate laundry. I'd rather do the dishes 15 times a day then fold and put away clothes. Annoying. I seriously just throw clothes away sometimes(never expensive ones, or ones the grandparents send) after the kids wear them because the effort of getting stains out sometimes it just to much. I hate laundry. I'm thinking of giving plasma just so I can pay someone 200 a month to do it for me. Do I have any takers of my possible blood money?;)

High on Allergy Meds

Does anyone else have a horrible reaction to snow mold? I seriously couldn't breathe a couple of nights ago and I thought I was dying. Yes I'm dramatic. I'm a big baby when it comes to breathing, I kind of like doing it considering it's essential to living. Any who, I have a new best friend named Claritin-D. We get along well. Brit didn't know she could be replaced so easily.

So I'm sitting here with the computer for the first time in a couple of weeks, Grant had a couple of major papers that he was working on, so what am I doing? Blog stalking. My guilty pleasure. I love getting a peak of how other people live. It's fun. I guess I'll give a lil peak into our life lately.

Grant is finishing the rest of his finals today. I'm so glad to have this semester over. This is my favorite time of year because the weather is getting good, and I have Grant at home every day for almost 5 months! I feel like during the school year we just kinda get in a rut and do the same routine everyday, and I never get to see him. It's great not having projects, papers, and tests looming around and crowding our weekends. I know he's relieved also, that just goes without saying.

There are other reasons to be excited, my lil bro is coming home from his mission in less than two weeks now! I'm super d duper excited. He is the funniest person I know, and I'm so proud of him for working so hard and serving such an honorable mission!!! We are going to try to bribe him with hotties to get him to go to BYUI. It shouldn't be hard to find him a lady friend. He's a handsome devil. Of course he is, he's related to me!;)

                                                              Daniel in his natural habitat.

This summer will also be bitter sweet for me. This is my last summer before Sienna starts school. Maggie and I will not know what to do without our lil entertainer being here all day. I start getting teary eyed just thinking about it. I'm not one of those moms that looks forward to school. I know I'm going to be missing her every second that she's gone! To make it worse she doesn't want me to take her to school, she keeps talking about riding the school bus. Make it stop!!! I am excited to see what she learns, and how she grows. We already know who her teacher will be, Mrs. Judy. She was in our ward and she's just wonderful. It comforts me to know she'll be in good and loving hands.

We also have a lot of people coming to visit this summer, my parents, Grant's dad, and possibly my lil sis and brother. We prob won't be able to go home until Christmas, so I'm glad that they are all coming. Maggie has changed so much when they last saw her, and I can't wait for them to get to know her better. She is such a little person now! Walking and talking up a storm. She is so funny with her mannerisms, so calm one moment, and then the next being a wild child with her sister. This morning when she woke up we put her in bed with us and anytime Grant would try to go back to sleep she would slap him and shake her head no! It was so funny. Poor Grant just wanted a couple more min of sleep, but she had other ideas!

We made it another year, with only one more to go, and we truly have been blessed. Grant is still doing wonderfully in school, we are still happy in love, the girls are smart and healthy, so what more do we need?(maybe a bigger clothes budget ;))

Happy Belated Anniversary

Mine and Grant's anniversary was on the 8th. I know I'm waaaay late in posting. But I was out of town, and I'm just now recovering from the travel, IE, getting the house back in order. It has been three glorious years of marriage and still not a raised voice from HIM. He has already taught me so much in these three years, I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful husband. I know he needs me too, because when I got back from Washington all that was in the fridge was soured milk and snack size pudding. Gross. Poor thing survived on Taco Bell.

In more happy happenings, Grant got a big promotion last week and we are sooooo excited about it. It's what we call a 4reals big person job. Hooray for not answering phones in a call center anymore! I'm proud of having a husband that will work whatever job he has to, from scrubbing toilets, to working phones to support our family, but I'm thrilled that now he has a job that he can apply his mad econ skillz with! I know he enjoys what he is doing and that makes me incredibly happy.

So here's to the future looking bright with the most handsome man in the world. MUAH! Love You Babe!!!

Work, Poop and A Lil Vaca!!

It's been an interesting week. Not a bad one. Nothing horrible happened, but nothing extraordinary either. Everything eventful that happened had a comical quality to it, even if the underlying event was negative, so I can't even whine about it. Okay I could, but my life is way to good to ever whine about anything! Grant went in to work early and came home late every night this week. It's the month end/beginning, and it was way cute when both girls hung on to his pant leg and begged/cried for him not to go to work tonight. I think they we're afraid of being left with me honestly, I accidentally took Tylenol PM this morning, instead of regular Tylenol. In my defense, I didn't know that we had Tylenol PM. Grant bought it earlier this week, and I just grabbed the bottle without looking. So we have all stayed in our PJ's today and I've laid on the couch and tried to stay awake. Boring day for poor Sienna.

Maggie has also some how confused the bath tub with a toilet. Anytime I've bathed her this week she has pooped in the bath. Gross!!! Last night I started thinking about when we move the next people that move in won't have a clue what has been on the carpets and bath of this place. I clean and disinfect like a mad woman, but still, it's just disgusting.   And then I started thinking about what could have happened in this apartment before we moved here, and now I'm walking around like an OCD person with disinfectant and paper towels, wiping down anything that I can.

But there is a silver super shiny lining to this blah blah blah week. This Saturday I am leaving. Were you ask,... to go to glorious Vancouver, Washington. Why, to see my besty give birth. I'm so excited. I know next week will probably be spent sitting and walking around waiting for her to double over in pain, kinda weird that I'm excited, but it will not be in this tiny apartment, it will be in hers. I'm sure we will get to see Portland and hear all the reasons why we should move there when Grant graduates from school, but I'll also get to see a baby be born. I've done it, but I've never seen it. I can't wait to hold him, which will also be different for me, a him and not a her, and I'm gonna smother him in kisses and Ralph Lauren. Gah I can't wait!!! So my official prediction is that she will go into labor on next Thursday and he will be a 7 pounder. Aunt Natalie is coming lil Jude, so please stay all comfy in that belly until I get there!!!

PS, I've been reading The Hunger Games and it's a great series. I highly recommend it!!!
